Here’s me in Venice taking my own advice of ‘Get away and get to your goals faster’. So when did you last get away? Now here’s the thing. You might immediately think ‘I don’t have the time’ or ‘I’m too busy for that’ yet being time-poor is often a state created from running a pattern of overwhelm.
This just spirals unless you take stock and ask yourself some really important questions. And this is really hard to do when deep in the daily grind! So this feeling of running just to stand still builds until you feel so out of control that you have no idea how to do it any differently.
The classic quote, do what you’ve always done, get what you’ve always got is never truer than now. One month from now will you be able to answer When Did You Last Get Away? Great monuments, like the church in this picture, are built from tiny bricks and this could be the very first step towards you changing the things that need to change in your life.
So take a break, take some space, cross some water and go somewhere to start the Flow back up. You’ll be glad you did. (And if you don’t then you might just want to watch out for my next blog post on procrastination… 😉 )
